Left page: Adventures with Titan the Pomeranian. The puppy days: learning to socialize. Right page: Titan walks by his human on the sidewalk and looks out in nervous surprise. "When titan was a puppy, he was afraid of everything..."
Left page: Titan hides behind Theresa's legs while another human and his Boston Terrier approach. The Boston Terrier looks at Titan curiously. "humans... dogs...." Right page: "even shadows!" Titan cowers at his shadow in a flashlight. Theresa says "Titan it's just you!" Back to Titan hiding behind his human's legs, the owner of the Boston Terrier says "Oh yeah, this one is great with puppies!"
Left page: Titan steps out timidly from Theresa's legs and the Boston Terrier bows in play, saying "ruf ruf". Theresa says, "See? It's okay. it's a friend!" "slowly we started teaching him to be less afraid." Right page: Titan doe a play bow and they start playing. But then Titan gets a little enthusiast and with a "grawrr" launches at the Boston Terrier.
Left Page: Titan and the terrier play fight off panel. Theresa says, "Titan that's too brave!" "Are they playing or fighting?" "I think play?" "But... the growling..." Right page: Titan and the Boston Terrier are lost in a cartoon cloud of active tumbling.

Titan actually picked up the growling from that Boston Terrier he met as a puppy. Now whenever he meets another dog, it’s up to the other dog to interpret if Titan is friendly or out to attack.
